I know it's not a Thursday and Thursdays are usually when I do these things, but I just remembered something that happened. Our ballet teacher told us that when she was beginning on pointe, she had ripped off her toenail somewhere around 5 times. I decided to look into it and I found this:
I then remembered why I named my post on Thursday: Really Reassuring. I hope this doesn't happen to me and +TheNerdyBanana! That was all I wanted to say.

Two weeks ago, I could not attend Ballet class because I was in Japan for school interviews. So today, we got to class a little late. It wasn't really a problem, but I don't like being late to places. We had been working on a class project that's due tomorrow so we had to film today. There wasn't really any other option.
So, we were on pointe today and let me tell you it HURT. That's all I really have to report for today. We had a lot of spinning.

Hey guys! Yesterday was the first pointe lesson for +TheNerdyBanana, Aisha, and I took. I think it went pretty well.
We (Aisha, +TheNerdyBanana, and I) had played around on pointe before, however we had never done specific exercises. For pointe, we were at the barre. Let me tell you, it hurt. Kids, don't do what I decided to do. (That being doing dance for a combined 8 years and 6 months and then go on freaking pointe.) I was embarrassingly horrible and as I watched +TheNerdyBanana and Aisha, (Who are really good at this stuff.) I wished I could crawl into a hole.
After what felt like a long time on pointe, we were instructed to change into regular ballet shoes and we did some other exercises. These included pirouettes, double pirouettes, arabesques, etc. We were almost late for the late bus and I just barely made it onto the bus while there were seats still available.
My pointe shoes are pink satin Blochs. Specifically, Heritage Blochs (Pictured Below). Just thought you guys might want to know.
